In every book there are mistakes, when you are lucky they are small. Sometimes however it is one made in the final seconds of sending the book when two small files get switched and soon you have entire portions of the book that seem out of order. That is what happened in the climbing guide. When we were making final edits one file was dragged below another and it wasn’t caught before it was sent off to the printers. This means that the Index and Table of Contents are incorrect for those two areas. They are Ravine Lake and Wiener Lake.  This was very upsetting and I spent the last few hours pacing back and forth thinking about how to fix it. This is a very unfortunate mixup for the first printing of this guide.  I have fixed the files and uploaded them onto the server for download. Please download and print them to complete the book and everything will be right with the universe once again.  Just to reiterate the Ravine Lake and Wiener Lake sections of the Table of Contents and Index are incorrect, the downloads will fix the problem. No route information or map information has been effected by this problem.

Other Book Edit Information:

1. On the inside cover “Dane Ketner on Zig-Zag Route (pg. 104) by Kelsey Gray”, should read (pg. 130)

2. On page 148 in the Approach information the line “The trail is between the second and third lampost.” Should read “The trail is between the third and fourth lampost.”

3. On page 130, the route Dihedral / Roof should be called “Smoking Coconut”. First ascent information should be Andy Hoyt and Dan Kryger

4. On page 119 all routes should be shifted one to the right. So “Are you Serial” should be climb #2, Whatever is climb #3, I Do What I Want is climb #4 and first ascent by Chad Jensen and John Schwieder. Climb #1 is Unknown. Names and first ascent information is the only thing effected. Climb information is correct.

5. New Route: Ravine Lake (page 129) There is a route located between Unknown #23 and Zig Zag Left Var. #24. Name : Unknown. Gear to 3″ + Small Stoppers, 5.11a/r, 2 bolt chain anchor. The obvious crack in the right side dihedral, somewhat crumbly but fun and takes good pro. Continue direct of the crack instead of meeting left with #23 and go direct through the small roofs to the anchor. Run-out to the anchor from the last placement. 3 Stars

6. Book of Changes (pg. 115), Pitch 1 is 5.11c (3 stars).

7. Pat my Kitty (pg. 110) should read “Pet My Kitty”

8. Mental Health Project (pg. 127) is a long route and two ropes should be used for the rappel. Write this one in.

9. On Page 74, Photo by John Borland of Tracy Borland is not on Snowbird Slab but instead Local Motion, The Monolith.
