Currently I am having trouble with the shopping cart which I was unaware was broken. I just thought it was off season! So if you want to order the book please email prezwoodz at hotmail dot com. Ya I had to spell it like that to slow the spammers.

I’ll have you a book in a jiffy after that. Until then if your in Anchorage it can be purchased form the Alaska Rock Gym (best) Alaska Mountaineering and Hiking (second best) or Title Wave (3rd best).

I have created a section on Alaska Mountain Forum where I will be posting updates to the guide and new routes which will be entered later. The information is free to anyone who wants it and any information in turn is greatly appreciated. Keep an eye on it, print it out, help with any inconsistencies!

Downloadable Edits

Yes, this title is correct. There are already edits to be downloaded and I wish they were minor. During the last edit phase of the guide one small file was moved below another and it made a large difference. This was unfortunately not caught before it went to the printer. I have added a section to the website where I will be adding changes as they are given to me by others or I find them myself. So to start it off with a huge bang I have uploaded the Table of Contents and Index files which have the correct page numbers. It should be an easy download and print. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to message me and again I really apologize for this error!

I will be on KNBA at 8:30am, April 27th or so for a few minutes to talk about the climbing guide which I have been told will arrive tomorrow. They have fully printed it and it is already shipped. For some reason it went to California first which I was told is not normal. But that is alright, one extra day wont kill us.

Also the 27th is the day I will be doing a book signing at UAA Bookstore between 5-7pm. If you don’t have your advance copy yet that will be the time to get it!

And let the delays begin!

The printer has stated that it was not able to finish the book when they specified which is rather annoying. The new release date is April 24th.

Yup it sure did. The other website didn’t handle the shopping cart to well so were off to a new look. Ordering for the advance copies is open now, there are only 30 available in this advance copy list so get them while you can! Click on Order Now at the top of the page.

On to the Final Print

The proofs have been signed and sent. Now the book is greenlit for final print. That means 8-10 weeks before the book arrives on the doorstep. I will be taking advance orders soon for anyone who wants to be sure to get them first!

First Proof is being delivered!

So it took a lot more time and enery then I had wanted to get the printers to go ahead with the first proof. First they tell you to make changes, then you have to make more changes such as file dpi sizes and text colorings, then you have to resend the files. This is definitely made more difficult by the fact it always seemed to be Friday night when the finally sent another email to me to let me know! So thankfully all that is done and the printer is sending the first proof. Hopefully it will be here early or mid next week. With any luck. Then I just have to okay that and the real book is finally on the press!

I finally have the book suitable in form that it was sent off to the printers today. The next step is to see if they will print a proof. As long as there is no problems with the PDF they will print a proof and send. Then I will okay the proof if all is right and the final book goes into print.
